About Me
Hi! I'm Teddy Skye Garcia (he/him) a writer, performer, artist, and activist currently pursuing dual Advocacy Studies & Art degrees, and working as a Campus Tour Guide at American University in Washington D.C.
Transgender, disabled, and endlessly stubborn, I've been fighting to make the world a better place since well before transition, and continued that fight with my own 503(c) non-profit organization, TRANScend Youth (transcendyouth.org). Here, I work to give LGBTQ+ youth and their allies education, opportunities, and a platform for joy through public speaking, outreach, and event production.

When I've got a break (which isn't too often) I love spending time with my family in Southern California, including 4 very small dogs who I miss dearly. I also love performing-- in musical theatre, with my acapella group, with my barbershop quartet, any form of public speaking, and even stand-up comedy every so often. I play 4 instruments, and too much Dungeons and Dragons.

My life motto is: "Always give 100% unless you're donating blood."

FLIP THROUGH MY FAVORITE PHOTOS!

Watch my favorite project!
"Home For The Holi-Gays" (2023) was a fundraiser variety show produced entirely by me and TRANScend Youth which featured a dozen queer youth performers, which raised over $2000 for queer youth arts education. Did I have to eat a dog treat and get cheez-whiz'ed live on stage? Yes, yes I did. Do I still consider it one of the best nights of my life? Yes I do. Do I want to do it again? I'm already planning it.
You can watch the whole thing now with the links below! Thanks again to all performers, audience go-ers, and everyone at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts for helping make a crazy dream come true.
